About the Programme 

The Dublin Aerospace Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitter (MAMF) apprenticeship programme is a structured four-year training programme consisting of 7 phases. The apprenticeship is a mixture of on-the-job, practical experience phases based at Dublin Aerospace's maintenance facility at Dublin Airport and off-the-job phases run by the education training board (ETB)

Structure/Content of the Programme 

During the programme, candidates are involved with; 

The programme is structured over four years and is divided into on-the-job (4) and off-the-job (3) phases. The on-the-job phases are conducted at Dublin Aerospace's maintenance facility located at Hangar 5 in Dublin Airport. Off-the-job phases are completed under the Education Training Board (ETB).

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the candidates will be awarded; 

Candidates will gain excellent hand skills and knowledge in the operation and maintenance of aircraft parts throughout the programme. The experience will also open the doors to further opportunities in the aviation industry.  



Candidates are paid an incremental training allowance over the four years of the programme. The employer, Dublin Aerospace, pay during the on-the-job phases and SOLAS pay during the off-the-job phases.
